(Although not by much in Detroit.  Near Grand Rapids, though, and even more near Houghton in the western Upper Peninsula, it's great.  Sunsets are around 9:30 at the end of June.)

And of course, during the winter it stays light out for much longer too -- but that's only because the streetlights reflect off all the snow, so it's basically cheating.  But it is more than enough to see by, as long as you're not trying to drive.</description>
